Kuwait Repairs Power Lines Damaged by Air Defence Debris

Kuwait City: Kuwait’s Ministry of Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy has confirmed that debris from the country’s air defence operations damaged some electricity lines during the early morning response to the reported aerial attack.

The ministry said the debris fell onto overhead power lines while air defence systems were intercepting incoming threats. However, it stressed that the incident did not disrupt the national electricity grid or affect power supply to consumers.

Emergency response teams were immediately deployed to the affected locations in coordination with the relevant security authorities to inspect the damage and begin repair work.

Officials said maintenance crews are carrying out repairs while ensuring the safety and stability of the national power grid.

The ministry added that electricity services continue to operate normally across Kuwait and that the country’s power infrastructure is being closely monitored to ensure uninterrupted service.

Authorities reaffirmed that all necessary measures have been taken to maintain the continuity of electricity supply while repair work continues.
