NCM Forecasts Hot Weather, Rising Humidity and Fog Across UAE

Dubai: The UAE is set to experience another hot day, with temperatures expected to reach 47°C in inland areas, while rising humidity over the coming days could lead to fog and mist in some coastal and internal regions early next week.

According to the National Center of Meteorology (NCM), Thursday’s weather will be partly cloudy to cloudy at times, particularly over the northern and eastern parts of the country due to the influence of a weak surface low-pressure system.

Light to moderate southwesterly to northwesterly winds are expected, becoming fresh at times. Wind speeds may reach 40 km/h over coastal areas, 35 km/h inland and 30 km/h in mountainous regions.

The Arabian Gulf is forecast to be slight to moderate, becoming rough at times in western waters, while the Oman Sea will remain slight.

The NCM also said humidity levels are expected to increase overnight and during the early morning hours over the next few days, creating favourable conditions for the formation of fog and mist in some coastal and inland areas early next week.

Motorists are advised to exercise caution if visibility is reduced due to fog, while residents are encouraged to stay hydrated and avoid prolonged outdoor activities during peak afternoon heat.
