Summer to End in Saudi Arabia as Autumn Begins on September 1

Saudi Arabia’s summer season is nearing its end, with autumn expected to begin on September 1, according to Hussein Al-Qahtani, spokesperson for the National Center for Meteorology (NCM). He said weather indicators already point to a gradual transition towards the new season.

The arrival of autumn is expected to bring a gradual shift towards more moderate temperatures across the country. However, September remains relatively warm and is considered the fourth-warmest month of the year based on average temperatures.

September is also one of the driest months in Saudi Arabia, recording an average annual rainfall of around 1.64 mm. Weather conditions are expected to gradually become more pleasant in the following months as the country moves further into the autumn season.
