Two Asian Residents Arrested for Reckless Driving in Kuwait’s Jleeb Area

Kuwaiti authorities have arrested two Asian residents for reckless and irresponsible driving after a video circulated on social media showing them performing dangerous maneuvers with luxury vehicles in the Jleeb area. The Ministry of Interior stated that the Farwaniya Security Directorate, through the Jleeb area command, identified the location near a private school and launched an investigation. It was determined that the gathering was part of a celebration marking the end of the first school semester.

Investigations revealed that the vehicles involved were rented luxury cars. Police recorded the license plates, identified the drivers, and impounded the vehicles. All individuals involved were taken into custody and referred to the competent legal authority for further action. The ministry emphasized that such behavior endangers the lives of both participants and other road users.

The incident highlights Kuwait’s ongoing crackdown on reckless driving and public disturbances, particularly those filmed and shared on social media. Authorities have repeatedly warned that they will monitor online platforms for traffic violations and take strict legal measures against offenders, regardless of nationality or motive.

In a firm statement, the Ministry of Interior reaffirmed its zero-tolerance policy toward actions that threaten public safety. Security services will continue to track violations circulated on social media and prosecute perpetrators “without leniency or exception” to uphold the rule of law and protect lives and property across Kuwait.
