Kuwait’s Civil Information Authority Launches “Resident Cancellation” Service via “Sahel” App

Kuwait’s Public Authority for Civil Information (PACI) has launched a new “Resident Cancellation” service through the Sahel application, currently available to owners of private housing. The move is part of PACI’s ongoing effort to digitize and simplify government services for citizens and residents, enhancing efficiency and convenience in updating residential records.

The service enables private homeowners to cancel the civil registration of residents linked to their property electronically, without the need to visit PACI service centers. This aims to streamline procedures, reduce paperwork, and ensure residential data is updated promptly and accurately in official government databases.

In a statement on X (formerly Twitter), PACI emphasized that the new feature supports its broader mission to improve data reliability and support digital transformation in Kuwait. By empowering property owners to manage residency updates directly via the app, the authority hopes to minimize discrepancies and maintain up-to-date population records.

The “Resident Cancellation” service reflects Kuwait’s continued push toward e-governance and user-centric public services. As PACI expands its digital offerings, further enhancements and broader access to similar services are expected in the coming months, contributing to more efficient and transparent administrative processes nationwide.
