Abu Dhabi’s Etihad Airways has been named the world’s safest full-service airline for 2026 by AirlineRatings, topping a global assessment of 320 carriers. Dubai’s Emirates placed fifth in the rankings, while flydubai also featured in the Top 25, underscoring the UAE’s strong standing in aviation safety.
The annual rankings evaluate airlines on factors including incident rates, fleet age, pilot training, and international safety audits. This year’s assessment placed greater emphasis on turbulence prevention measures and participation in industry safety programs.
