Kuwaiti Charities Partner with UNDP to Provide Emergency Water in Gaza

Three Kuwaiti charities—The Kuwait Society for Relief, Sheikh Abdallah Al Nouri Charity Society, and Al Oun Charity—have signed an agreement with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) to deliver emergency drinking water in Gaza. The project will deploy solar‑powered mobile desalination units to provide clean water to approximately 180,000 people, including displaced communities.

The initiative will be implemented by UNDP’s Program of Assistance to the Palestinian People, with the signing ceremony taking place on February 2, 2026, at the UN House in Kuwait.
