Kuwait International Airport was targeted by several drones on Thursday morning, according to the General Authority of Civil Aviation.
Officials said the incident resulted in material damage only and no human casualties were reported.
The authority’s official spokesperson, Abdullah Al Rajhi, told Kuwait News Agency that the situation was handled in accordance with the emergency response plan implemented since the beginning of the current crisis.
He added that the response was carried out in full coordination with relevant authorities in the country to ensure safety and maintain operational control.
The Civil Aviation Authority reaffirmed its commitment to taking all necessary measures to safeguard the security and safety of civil aviation in Kuwait while continuing to monitor the situation closely.
