Kuwait Municipality Warns Construction Sites Over Safety Violations

The Kuwait Municipality has taken strict action against five companies for violating safety regulations at construction and renovation sites in the Hawalli Governorate.

According to the municipality’s Public Relations Department, the violations were identified during a special inspection campaign carried out on Wednesday. The inspections were conducted to ensure that construction activities comply with labour regulations and required safety standards.

Inspection teams from the municipality’s Security and Safety Department visited several construction sites across Hawalli and found serious lapses related to worker safety and construction practices.

Authorities issued official warnings to sites that failed to implement the required safety precautions. Officials stressed that ensuring public safety and preventing violations in the construction sector remain a top priority.

The municipality also confirmed that inspection campaigns will continue across the governorate in the coming days. Companies found violating regulations may face strict legal action, including fines.

Officials urged contractors and construction firms to ensure full compliance with all technical and safety standards set by the government while carrying out building and renovation works.
