Kuwait City: Kuwait’s Cybercrime Unit has issued a strong warning against sharing content that could harm social unity in the country. Authorities have urged both citizens and expatriates to avoid posting or spreading material that promotes division or creates conflict within society.
Officials stated that strict monitoring is in place to track and take action against those who spread hate or provoke unrest. Special caution has also been advised against sharing images or videos related to wars, military movements, or missile attacks, as such content can create unnecessary fear and tension.
The department emphasized that any activity that disrupts social harmony is considered a criminal offense under Kuwaiti law, and violators will face serious legal consequences.
Authorities have also called on the public to stay away from emotional or provocative content and to act responsibly while using digital platforms. They stressed the importance of protecting national security and maintaining unity, urging everyone to rely only on accurate information and help preserve a peaceful social environment.
