Kuwait City: Kuwait’s Ministry of Interior has announced the arrest of an individual for spreading false and misleading information on social media.
According to the ministry, the person shared a video claiming that more than 1,000 people had been arrested, a statement that was found to be completely baseless. Authorities said the content misled the public and created confusion.
The ministry also noted that the individual called for amnesty for those supporting Iran’s attacks. Legal action has been taken against him, and the case has been referred to the Public Prosecution.
Officials urged the public to rely only on verified sources for information and to avoid sharing rumours or unconfirmed news. They also warned that strict action will be taken against anyone spreading misinformation that could harm public safety and stability.
