Kuwait City: Scattered rainfall currently affecting parts of Kuwait is expected to continue over the coming days, with thunderstorms likely until Thursday evening, according to the Meteorological Department.
Director Dharar Al Ali said rainfall is expected to intensify again from Tuesday morning and may persist through Thursday. The weather system is being driven by increasing low and mid-level cloud formations, along with the development of cumulonimbus clouds that can bring heavy rain accompanied by thunder and lightning.
Some areas may experience thunderstorms later tonight, followed by a brief improvement in conditions. However, forecasts indicate that rainfall activity will pick up again from Tuesday morning.
Authorities have also warned that rainfall could become heavy in certain areas in the coming days, with weather fluctuations expected to continue until Saturday.
Strong winds and reduced visibility are also likely, and motorists have been urged to drive with caution. Those heading out to sea or planning outdoor activities are advised to follow official weather updates.
