WhatsApp has reportedly introduced a redesigned media attachment interface for iPhone users through its latest iOS update.
According to reports, the new feature is included in WhatsApp for iOS version 26.19.75 and is currently being rolled out to a limited number of users through the Apple App Store.
The updated interface reportedly allows users to access and share recent photos and videos directly from the chat attachment sheet without leaving the conversation window.
A new “recent files” section now appears below options such as Documents, Poll, Event and AI Image within the attachment menu.
The redesigned layout displays recently saved media in a 4×4 grid format, enabling users to quickly select and send files while still keeping the chat visible in the background.
Users can also reportedly edit media instantly through the built in drawing editor by tapping on thumbnails before sending them.
Scrolling through the recent media section is said to expand the interface into a full gallery view similar to the existing Photos section.
Technology reports suggest the redesign reduces the number of steps required to share images and videos on WhatsApp, improving overall convenience and speed.
The updated interface is also believed to align more closely with the “Liquid Glass” design style recently introduced across Apple’s software ecosystem.
Currently, WhatsApp users need to tap the plus button and open the photo section separately, which takes over the full screen interface.
Industry observers believe WhatsApp may be testing the new attachment design with selected users before rolling it out more widely to iPhone users globally.
The platform has not yet officially announced a broader public release timeline for the feature.
