Authorities in Dubai have designated six public beaches exclusively for families during the upcoming Eid al-Adha holidays as part of efforts to improve visitor safety and comfort during the busy festive period.
Dubai Municipality announced that the family only beaches include Jumeirah Beach 1, Jumeirah Beach 2, Jumeirah Beach 3, Umm Suqeim Beach 1, Umm Suqeim Beach 2 and Khor Al Mamzar Beach, including designated night beaches.
Officials said the move forms part of a wider operational plan launched ahead of Eid to strengthen safety, public health and visitor experience standards across beaches, parks and recreational facilities.
Authorities have also intensified inspection campaigns targeting food establishments, shopping centres, temporary kiosks and entertainment venues expected to witness heavy visitor traffic during the holiday period.
Dubai Municipality confirmed that inspection teams are operating around the clock at air, sea and land entry points under a risk based inspection system for imported food products.
During the first quarter of 2026, the municipality reportedly inspected nearly 81,000 food consignments containing more than 424,000 food products with a total volume of around 2.7 million tonnes.
With demand for meat expected to rise sharply during Eid Al Adha, officials said all imported meat consignments are undergoing full inspection procedures, including verification of halal slaughter certificates and cold chain compliance standards.
Authorities have additionally expanded inspections across hotels, barber shops, beauty salons and shisha cafés to ensure compliance with hygiene, environmental and public health regulations.
Laboratory testing of henna products used in women’s salons is also being carried out to ensure they are free from harmful substances that may cause allergies or skin irritation.
Dubai Municipality further announced extended operating hours for several parks and attractions during the Eid holidays.
Quranic Park will operate from 8 am until midnight, while Dubai Frame will remain open from 8 am until 9 pm.
Major parks including Zabeel Park, Al Mamzar Beach Park, Al Safa Park, Creek Park and Mushrif National Park will stay open until midnight.
Officials said the preparations are intended to ensure smooth holiday experiences for residents and tourists visiting Dubai during Eid celebrations.
