Kuwait Honours Second Anniversary of Crown Prince’s Pledge of Allegiance

Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled Al-Sabah marked the second anniversary of his appointment as Crown Prince on Sunday, with Kuwait commemorating the occasion by highlighting his contributions to national service and state leadership.

The anniversary marks two years since His Highness took the oath of office before Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, following his appointment as Crown Prince. The selection was widely viewed as a reflection of the Emir’s confidence in Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled’s leadership, experience and commitment to national development.

Kuwaiti officials noted that the Crown Prince’s appointment came after decades of public service, during which he held several senior government positions and played a key role in shaping national policies and diplomatic initiatives.

Throughout the past two years, Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled has consistently emphasised national unity, social cohesion and cooperation between the leadership and the people. He has also called on members of the ruling family to serve as positive role models and support the country’s progress.

The Crown Prince has maintained an active presence in national affairs, including visits to military and security institutions, where he has praised the dedication and sacrifices of personnel serving to protect Kuwait’s security and stability.

Officials highlighted his leadership during field inspections of defence sectors and his support for efforts aimed at strengthening national preparedness and safeguarding the country’s interests.

The anniversary also serves as an opportunity to reflect on Kuwait’s ongoing development efforts and the Crown Prince’s role in supporting the Emir’s vision for continued growth, stability and prosperity.

As Kuwait marks the milestone, tributes have focused on Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled’s long record of public service, leadership experience and commitment to advancing the nation’s future.
