Kuwait City: Kuwait has reported a fresh missile and drone attack, with the General Staff of the Kuwait Armed Forces confirming that the country’s air defence systems successfully intercepted incoming aerial threats.
Following the reported attack, emergency warning sirens were activated across the country, prompting authorities to place the nation on heightened alert.
Residents in several areas reported hearing loud explosions. Military officials clarified that the sounds were caused by air defence systems intercepting and destroying incoming missiles and drones before they could reach their intended targets.
The armed forces urged the public to remain calm, avoid spreading rumours and strictly follow safety instructions issued through official government channels.
Authorities said security agencies continue to monitor the situation closely and are taking all necessary measures to protect the country’s airspace, citizens and critical infrastructure.
