Kuwait City: Kuwait’s Ministry of Defence has confirmed that three security posts along the country’s northern border and an offshore drilling platform operated by Kuwait Oil Company (KOC) came under attack, causing material damage and injuring one worker.
According to the ministry’s spokesperson, Major General Saud Abdul Aziz Al-Otaibi, the attacks caused physical damage to three border security facilities. In a separate incident, a hostile drone struck a Kuwait Oil Company offshore drilling platform located within Kuwait’s territorial waters, damaging the facility and injuring a worker.
The injured worker received immediate medical treatment, while the relevant authorities launched emergency response measures in coordination with security agencies to assess the damage and secure the affected sites.
The Ministry of Defence said the Kuwaiti Armed Forces remain on full alert and are closely monitoring the security situation. It stressed that all necessary measures are being taken to safeguard the country’s borders, critical infrastructure and the safety of citizens and residents.
