Kuwait Braces for High Humidity as Weather Conditions Shift This Weekend

Kuwait and several Gulf countries are expected to experience a significant rise in humidity over the weekend, according to weather observer Essa Ramadan. Strengthening southeasterly winds are expected to drive higher moisture levels, particularly across coastal and marine areas.

The humid conditions will affect Kuwait, Saudi Arabia’s Eastern Province, Bahrain, Qatar, the UAE’s coastal areas and parts of southern Iraq. Areas stretching from Kuwait City to Dammam and Al Khobar are expected to remain hot and humid over the coming days. However, humidity could ease slightly from Sunday as northwesterly winds begin to develop across Kuwait and eastern Saudi Arabia.

The weather shift coincides with the beginning of the traditional Kulaibin season, which lasts around 13 days. Weather observers expect the intense summer heat to gradually ease after the appearance of the Suhail star around August 24. The changing weather pattern is expected to continue through the end of next week.
