Dubai’s popular Museum of Illusions in Bur Dubai has officially closed, ending its eight-year run at Souq Al Seef. The museum confirmed the closure through its social media channels, thanking visitors for their support over the years. However, the management has not disclosed the reason behind the decision.
The attraction opened in Dubai on September 12, 2018, as part of the international Museum of Illusions franchise, which originated in Zagreb, Croatia, in 2015. It quickly became a popular destination for families, children and tourists seeking an interactive experience combining entertainment and science.
The museum featured more than 60 exhibits, including optical illusions, holograms, stereograms and specially designed rooms that challenged visitors’ perception. After nearly eight years of entertaining and educating visitors, the closure marks the end of its chapter at Souq Al Seef.
