Kuwait Resumes Sabah Al-Nasser Bridge Project After 12-Year Halt

Kuwait’s Ministry of Public Works has resumed work on the Sabah Al-Nasser Bridge after a 12-year suspension, with construction now entering its final stages. Minister of Public Works Mashaan Al-Mashaan inspected the project to review the latest progress and monitor ongoing works.

As part of the latest development, a section of the bridge has been opened to traffic travelling from the Salmiya side of the Sixth Ring Road towards Road 604 (Kabed). An exit has also been opened for motorists travelling from the Jahra side of the Sixth Ring Road towards Road 604, in coordination with the General Traffic Department.

The project is expected to improve traffic flow along the Sixth Ring Road and Road 604, increase the efficiency of Kuwait’s road network and ease congestion in surrounding areas. The ministry said intensified monitoring and efforts to accelerate construction have helped move the long-delayed project towards completion.
