Kuwait’s Ministry of Interior has urged vehicle owners to settle traffic fines without delay, warning that cases involving unpaid penalties could be referred directly to the Traffic Court. Authorities said failure to pay fines on time could result in serious legal consequences and additional penalties.
If a traffic violation reaches the court, offenders could face substantial financial fines or imprisonment, depending on the seriousness of the violation. Authorities may also take other administrative measures against those who fail to settle their penalties.
The ministry urged motorists to clear outstanding fines as soon as possible to avoid legal complications and court proceedings. Fines can be paid electronically through the government’s Sahel app and the Ministry of Interior’s official online services, allowing vehicle owners to complete the process without visiting government offices.
