Kuwait, Pakistan Sign Joint Defense and Military Cooperation Agreement

Kuwait and Pakistan have signed a joint defense and military cooperation agreement aimed at strengthening cooperation between the two countries’ armed forces.

The agreement was signed on Thursday by Kuwaiti Defense Minister Sheikh Abdullah Ali Abdullah Al-Salem Al-Sabah and Pakistani Defense Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif during the Kuwaiti minister’s official visit to Pakistan.

Before the signing, the two defense ministers held talks in Islamabad, where they reviewed bilateral relations and discussed opportunities to expand cooperation in the military and defense sectors. They also exchanged views on regional and international developments and issues of mutual interest.

The Kuwaiti Ministry of Defense said the agreement represents an important milestone in defense cooperation between the two countries. It provides a framework for enhancing operational coordination, exchanging military expertise, and strengthening the readiness and integration of the two countries’ armed forces.

The agreement is also expected to contribute to supporting the shared interests of Kuwait and Pakistan and promoting regional security and stability.

The meeting and signing ceremony were attended by Kuwait’s Chief of the General Staff, Lieutenant General Khaled Daraj Saad Al-Shuraian, and Kuwaiti Ambassador to Pakistan Nassar Abdulrahman Al-Mutairi.
