Kuwait to temporarily close two lanes on Sixth Ring Road for maintenance

Two sections of Kuwait’s Sixth Ring Road will be temporarily closed for maintenance work, authorities have announced.

The Ministry of Public Works and the General Traffic Department said the slow lane on the Sixth Ring Road toward Jahra, from the area opposite Al Shuhada to 360 Mall, will be closed as part of the maintenance works.

The exit of the bridge connecting the Al Shuhada area to the Sixth Ring Road toward Jahra will also be temporarily closed during the work.

To reduce traffic congestion, motorists have been advised to use the service road. Drivers can take the exit near 360 Mall and then re-enter the Sixth Ring Road.

The restrictions will be in effect from midnight on Friday, September 4, until 5am on Sunday, September 6, covering a period of about three days.

Authorities have urged motorists to exercise caution while the maintenance work is underway, follow traffic diversions and, where possible, use alternative routes to avoid delays.
