A 5.1-magnitude earthquake struck Haixi Prefecture in northwest China’s Qinghai Province on Friday, according to the China Earthquake Networks Centre.
The earthquake occurred at a depth of 10 kilometres, with the epicenter located at 37.84 degrees north latitude and 95.59 degrees east longitude, the center said.
There were no immediate reports of casualties or significant damage following the earthquake.
