Kuwait’s Public Authority for Civil Information (PACI) has announced that the residential addresses of 555 individuals have been removed from civil ID records. The authorities made this announcement through the official gazette “Kuwait Al-Yawm,” published on Sunday. The addresses were cancelled based on certification provided by building owners and following the demolition of buildings where these individuals had resided. Those included in the list must register a new residential address within 30 days, either by visiting PACI offices directly or completing the process through the “Sahel” app.
When registering a new address, the required official documents proving residence must also be submitted. The directive states that the process must be completed within 30 days from the date the address cancellation was published. Those who fail to register a new address within the specified deadline will face a heavy fine. Under Article 33 of Law No. 32 of 1982, each violator will be fined 100 Kuwaiti dinars.
Authorities warned that the total fine amount will increase based on the number of family members involved. The list of 555 people whose addresses were cancelled has been published in the official gazette. Authorities have made clear that those on the list must register their new address within the deadline to avoid legal action.
