COVID CRISIS AND LOCKDOWN CHANGED LIFE OF NATIVES

Kuwait City: The covid situation, especially during the lockdown, is estimated to reduce Kuwaiti spending. Spending on travel and other entertainment has been greatly reduced. The covid crisis brought about changes in the way of life of Kuwaitis.


Markets, stores, theaters, gyms and salons were all closed, forcing people to save more money from their salaries. He also got a one-year discount on monthly installments. The Central Bank had launched a campaign called Let's Be Aware to encourage citizens to save and invest money.

However, with the fall in profits and the decline in the stock market and real estate, the money was used to buy luxury items, including expensive watches and gold. Most of the money was spent on restaurants and online shopping.
