COVID CRISIS HIT KUWAIT DINAR HARDLY

Kuwait City: The crisis caused by the Covid epidemic also hit the Kuwaiti dinar hard. The effects of the epidemic were felt on the two largest economies in the world, the US dollar and the Chinese yuan. It also affected the foreign exchange rate.


This reflected their price against the Kuwaiti Dinar and affected importers and exporters. Similarly, commodity prices and inflation rose. The Kuwaiti dinar has depreciated by 2.5 per cent against the US dollar in the previous year. The exchange rate rose to 300.8 fils from 308.2 fils in June.
