NEW STAMPING SYSTEM FOR GOLD JEWELLERY IS BEING INTRODUCED IN KUWAIT

Kuwait City: New stamping system for gold jewellery is being introduced in Kuwait. Stamping with the latest technology will start in Kuwait from January 2022. The new stamping system will use state-of-the-art technology to help prevent counterfeit gold and protect consumers from fraud. 


In addition, the Ministry of Commerce and Industry may extend the deadline for gold traders to sell their old stock. This indication was given by the circles associated with the Union of Gold and Jewelery Traders. The current stock sale deadline is July 2022. 

It is expected to last from six months to a year. Kuwaiti jewelers are now offering great deals to sell their existing stock. The new gold stamp will come into effect in January 2022.
