NEW BORN BABY LEFT IN TRASH, YOUNG MAN AND GIRL FRIEND ARRESTED IN KUWAIT

Kuwait City: A young man and his girlfriend have been arrested in Kuwait for leaving a newborn baby in a trash can. Local media reported that a young man and a woman from Nepal were arrested. 


The Interior Ministry was informed by a Filipino national who saw the two in suspicious circumstances. The incident took place in Farwaniya, Kuwait. The Filipino national noticed a young man and woman standing in a suspicious situation near the trash can with the baby. 

He suspected he was trying to leave the baby in the trash. The matter was immediately reported to the Home Ministry. Location information of the place was also handed over. Officers arrived at the scene and found the baby in the trash. The young man and his girlfriend were arrested from the area. 

Both were handed over to the concerned sections for further action. They both agreed that the baby was theirs. She said the baby was abandoned because of an illicit relationship. Both are currently in police custody. Legal proceedings are in progress.
