COASTAL VIOLATIONS, KUWAIT ENVIRONMENTAL AUTHORITY INTENSIFIES INSPECTION

Kuwait City: Environmental Public Authority with strong inspections in coastal areas of Kuwait. Legal action has also been intensified against those who illegally collect oysters and shells. Sheikh al-Ibrahim, head of the authority's PR division, said people were collecting shells without realizing it. 


Al-Ibrahim pointed out that the trend of collecting oysters, snails and shells has recently increased among locals and expatriates and that this is a serious violation of the law.

They demanded that the minimum fine for such offenses be 250 dinars, which can be up to 5,000 dinars, so that no one commits any offense.
