FIRST NINE MONTHS OF 2021 SAW HUGE JUMP IN SPENDING BY CITIZENS AND RESIDENTS OUTSIDE KUWAIT

Kuwait City: The first nine months of 2021 saw a significant increase in spending by citizens and residents living outside of Kuwait. This represents a 49 percent increase. According to official figures, citizens and residents spent an estimated 1.07 billion dinars outside Kuwait in the first nine months of 2021. It was only 722 million dinars in the first nine months of 2020. 


The total expenditure of citizens and residents outside Kuwait in the first nine months of 2021 has surpassed the total expenditure of citizens and residents outside Kuwait in 2020. Only 977 million dinars were spent in this manner in 2020. The figures were released by Kuwait's Central Bank. In 2021, websites and electronics stores will account for 535 million of total spending. Audi devices sold for 358 million dollars. At the same time, outside of Kuwait, withdrawals totaled only 183 million dinars.
