PROPOSAL TO REDUCE WORKING HOURS OR DAYS TO FOUR PER WEEK IN KUWAIT

Kuwait City: MP Mohammed Al Huwaila has submitted a proposal to reduce the working hours or working days of public sector employees to four a week. He also said that it should not affect the salaries and allowances of the employees and the quality of services provided to the citizens.


He argued that the whole world was preparing for such a reduction to reduce the pressure on employees to rush to work on time. He added that this will help employees to achieve more than just worrying about losing the best bonus by staying in the workplace. He also asks that the request of employees to work part-time be considered based on the human resource requirements of each organization.
