kuwait : Since the announcement of the new mutant "Omicron," around 20% of Kuwaiti passengers had cancelled their travel plans. This is on top of a slew of date changes, indicating that travellers in Kuwait are waiting to see what will happen in the wake of the airport's closure worries.

The demand for new year trip plans has plummeted, and tourist locations such as Turkey and Cairo are in short supply.

However, from January to September 2021, sales of tourist and travel offices in Kuwait increased by roughly 115 percent compared to the same period in 2020, reaching 101 million dinars. In the year 2020, the airport was closed for the majority of the time. In the same time of 2019, sales were estimated to be around 308 million.
