KUWAIT CITY : To address the escalating problems confronting the domestic labour market, the International Labor Organization (ILO) and the Public Authority for Manpower (PAM) met to discuss repealing the law pertaining to this category of workers and incorporating domestic workers into the National Labor Law in accordance with Article 18, according to Al-Qabas daily.

According to reliable sources, this step will provide protection for domestic workers, limit their working hours to 8, and close loopholes in the current law that allow sponsors to force their employees to work for 12 hours without rest.
