KUWAIT: The Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development (KFAED) and the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) signed a KD 605,000 ($2 million) grant agreement in Kuwait yesterday.

The grant, which aims to support highly vulnerable internally displaced people and host communities in Yemen, is part of Kuwait's commitment announced during the 75th session of the United Nations General Assembly to provide $20 million to alleviate the humanitarian situation in Yemen, according to a statement from the fund.

The grant aims to improve the living conditions of internally displaced families and their host communities, as well as their access to basic services, in several cities in Yemen, including Sanaa, Aden, Al-Hudaydah, and Marib, for approximately 200,000 people dispersed across numerous camp-like settings, according to the statement.
