SIXTY PERCENT OF KUWAITI WORKERS 'LACK COMPETENCIES'

Kuwait City: According to a recent economic report released by Procapita Management Consulting, the employment market in Kuwait in 2021 has faced significant challenges over the last two years, the most prominent of which was a lack of required competencies in the Kuwaiti market, which was 59.7 percent, owing to a large gap in supply and demand, as well as market and local economy instability, which shrank to 38.8 percent as a result of the coronavirus pandemic. According to the survey, there is a 31.3 percent discrepancy between earnings and benefits offered due to a structural imbalance in the labour market. Muhammad Abu Al-Rub, CEO of Procapita Management Consulting and founder of ZENITHR for smart human resource solutions, confirmed that the participation rate was very high, with more than 220 companies from 12 economic sectors in Kuwait and Saudi Arabia participating in the report, and the report included talent management practises because it is extremely important to business leaders.
