KOTC REITERATES ITS UNWAVERING COMMITMENT TO CYLINDER SAFETY

Kuwait City: The Kuwait Oil Tanker Company reaffirmed its strong and ongoing commitment to the safety of gas cylinders, as well as its commitment to international security, safety, and quality standards in dealing with them before they reach the hands of consumers, praising cooperative societies' efforts to ensure the preservation and safe and secure transportation of gas cylinders to consumers. The company expressed its gratitude and appreciation to consumers in a news release, but also warning "what the misuse behaviours of some cause, particularly in the commercial sector, for those cylinders."


It emphasised that protecting cylinders and ensuring their safety is a shared duty that necessitates coordinated actions from all stakeholders and consumers. The cylinders go through various phases to assure their safety before being safely discharged to the gas branches, according to the firm, which is also working on short and medium-term plans to rectify the damage caused by overuse. It stated that it fills over 60,000 gas cylinders every day and inspects, fills, transports, and distributes over 17 million cylinders annually.
