AFTER THE COVID OUTBREAK, 11% OF KUWAITIS WERE DIAGNOSED WITH CHRONIC ILLNESSES

Kuwait City: A new study examines how the Covid pandemic has affected people's health in the country. A questionnaire was developed by roughly 400 outpatients at the Endocrinology and Diabetes Unit Hospital at Jaber Al Ahmed Hospital during a complete and partial lockdown in the country. From the beginning of the Covid outbreak to the present, 54% of those who responded to the survey said their health was satisfactory. However, 50 percent of people lost weight as a result of the epidemic. 59 percent of those polled indicated their eating habits have shifted. 


During the epidemic, 24% ate a high-sugar, high-starch diet on a regular basis, and 17.5 percent ate a high-fat diet on a regular basis. Furthermore, 23.8 percent of them admit that their stress and despair levels rose at that time. After the Covid epidemic, it is predicted that 11% of people get chronic ailments.
