DURING EID HOLIDAYS, ALMOST 200,000 PEOPLE DEPART KUWAIT

Kuwait City: During the Eid Al-Fitr vacation, the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) of Kuwait expects 352,140 people to travel to and from Kuwait International Airport, with 207,760 going and 144,380 arriving. Saad Al-Otaibi, Deputy Director General for Planning and Projects Affairs, affirmed that civil aviation in all operational sectors is ready for the Eid vacation for the next nine days, in accordance with all governmental and non-governmental agencies operating at Kuwait's airport. 


People, both Kuwaitis and expatriates, flock to Kuwait International Airport these days to spend their vacations in their home countries and other destinations.

From April 28 to May 7, up to 2,800 flights will be run, with 1,400 outgoing flights and 1,400 entering flights, he said, adding that 76 more flights will be operated during Eid. He praised the efforts of all government agencies operating at the airport, led by the Ministry of Interior and the General Administration of Customs, as well as the tremendous efforts made by all civil aviation workers to ensure the holiday plan's success.
