Kuwait City: Food prices are expected to rise sharply as the country enters the hot summer months. Summer is coming with the global famine. Although the Covid epidemic has receded, Kuwait, like the rest of the world, has not recovered from the effects. Gradual inflation has affected all markets. There are fears that countries around the world could be hit hard by a shortage of goods during the summer months.

At the same time, the sudden rise in prices of food, clothing, luxury goods, spices and even household items has surprised low-income earners. Shopkeepers point to the Covid epidemic, labor shortages and the current political crisis between Russia and Ukraine as the main reasons for the rise in prices. The market was adversely affected by the nature of goods imported from both the countries.
