WITHIN TWO WEEKS, COST OF AIRLINE TICKETS FROM KUWAIT RISEN DRAMATICALLY

Kuwait City: The price of airline tickets has skyrocketed in the last two weeks. With the start of the summer season, airline ticket prices have risen by as much as 40 percent. Air fares to most Arab countries in particular have gone up. According to some travel offices, the summer season in the country is from June to mid - September, which is considered to be one of the busiest holiday seasons in the country. 


Everything was open after covid, and the teachers' vacation and the timing of Eid al-Adha also contributed to an upsurge in travel. Due to the virus and the airport closure, many locals have not returned to Kuwait in three years. According to travel agency owners, this has doubled the number of travellers and resulted in a rise in ticket prices. They also stated that it is natural for flight ticket prices to rise as the number of passengers and the demand for travel rise.
