KUWAIT BECOMES THE HOTTEST COUNTRY IN THE ARAB WORLD

Kuwait City: Kuwait is the hottest place in the Arab world. The average temperature in Kuwait during the three summer months is 45 degrees Celsius and the maximum is 51 degrees Celsius. Baghdad ranks second with an average temperature of 44 degrees Celsius and a maximum of 51 degrees Celsius. Riyadh ranks third with an average temperature of 43 degrees Celsius and a maximum of 49 degrees Celsius. Abu Dhabi (42, 47) was fourth and Doha (41, 47) was fifth.


This is according to a report by the Arab Gulf Center for Research and Studies on "The longest and hottest Arab summer of decades: high risk of drought and fire". Khartoum, Manama, Muscat, Damascus and Cairo were in the top ten.
