Kuwait City: New expats entering Kuwait on new work or family visas will have their criminal record checks (PCC) approved online. India will be the first country to implement this paperless system in September, followed by all other countries with coordination between the Ministry of Interior, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and Kuwait Embassies.

From September onwards, those coming from India on new work or family visas must submit their Police Clearance Certificate (PCC) at the Kuwait Embassy in their home country. The Kuwait Embassy will verify its authenticity and only after cross-checking it will be sent over to the Kuwait Ministry of Interior online to verify the valid sponsor or to check if the visa is for a former resident of Kuwait.

The Ministry of Interior is responsible for this new paperless system, which is represented by Brigadier Hamad Al-Tawala, his assistant Brigadier Ali Al-Adwani, the director of central administration, Colonel Musaed Al-Ajmi, the head of the conferences department, Colonel Issa Al-Ziyadi, directors of departments in the governorates, their assistants, and department staff.
