KUWAITI REAL ESTATE TRANSACTIONS FELL TO 8% TO 359.6 MILLION DINARS

Kuwait City: Real Estate Registration and Authentication Department, indicates a slight decline in the liquidity of the Kuwaiti real estate market during last June, compared to the liquidity of May, where the total value of contracts and agencies trading for the month of June amounted to about 359.6 million dinars. Its value is lower by 2.4% than the level of May liquidity, which amounted to about 368.6 million dinars, and also lower by 8.2% compared to the liquidity of June 2021, when the liquidity at that time reached a level of about 391.9 million dinars.


The June 2022 trading was distributed between about 352.1 million dinars in contracts, and about 7.5 million dinars in agencies, and the number of real estate deals for this month was 645 deals, distributed between 624 contracts and 21 agencies.

Al-Ahmadi Governorate achieved the highest number of deals with 314 deals, representing 48.7% of the total number of real estate deals, followed by Hawalli Governorate with 111 deals, representing about 17.2%, while Jahra Governorate had the lowest number of deals with 23 deals represented by 3.6%.

The value of private housing transactions amounted to about 186 million dinars, an increase of 6.1% compared to May 2022 when it amounted to about 175.3 million dinars, and the percentage of its contribution rose to about 51.7% of the total value of real estate transactions, compared to 47.6% in May 2022.

The monthly average The value of private housing transactions during the last 12 months amounted to about 217.2 million dinars, meaning that the value of transactions for the month of June 2022 is lower by -14.4% compared to the average.

The number of deals for this activity increased to 477 deals, compared to 389 deals in May 2022. Thus, the average value of one deal for private housing activity scored about 389.9 thousand dinars, compared to about 4500.7 thousand dinars in May 2022, a decrease of -13.5%.

The value of the investment housing trading activity amounted to about 123.4 million dinars, an increase of 19.9% ​​compared to the month of May 2022 when it amounted to about 102.9 million dinars, and its contribution from the total liquidity increased to about 34.3% compared to 27.9% in May 2022
