TUNIS STREET IN HAWALLY AREA HAS BEEN CLOSED

Kuwait City: The Ministry of Public Works, in collaboration with the General Traffic Department, has closed Tunis Street in Hawally for one month, beginning Friday, August 5, from the intersection of Beirut Street signal to the Fourth Ring Road intersection. According to knowledgeable sources, the closure is intended to address an issue on the roadway, which is the presence of depressions caused by ground (soil) sinking beneath the layers of asphalt.

This flaw, which the ministry aims to repair, is in the lower soil rather than the asphalt layers, as it caused a cave-in in the asphalt. It will remove the asphalt layers and completely treat the lower ground layer to prevent future cave-ins.
