REVOCATION OF RESIDENCY, KUWAIT MINISTRY OF INTERIOR GIVEN RELAXATION TO VARIOUS CATEGORIES

Kuwait City: The decision to exempt various categories from the decision to cancel their residency permits for those who left the country on or before May 1. Residency permits for family reunification under Article 22 and those with residency under Article 24 (same guarantor) were decided to be exempted from the above decision. Those covered by Articles 22 and 24 will not face problems even if they are out of the country for a year or more. 


Home Ministry sources said a regulatory decision would be issued to them in the near future. Only those to whom Article 18 applies are included in the decision to revoke residency. This includes those who left the country before May 1. That is, if one of the expatriates covered by Article 18 has been out of the country for more than a year, their residency will not be revoked until early next November, even if the residency is valid, the sources said.
