STRICT TRAFFIC CHECKS IN KUWAIT, 27,000 VIOLATIONS FOUND

Kuwait City: The Traffic and Operations Department conducted strict inspections in various parts of the country during the last week. The inspection was conducted under the supervision of Major General Yusuf Al Khadda, Assistant Director General of the General Directorate of Traffic for Licensing Affairs under the direction of Major General Jamal Al Sayegh, Assistant Under Secretary for Operations and Traffic Affairs in the Ministry of Interior.


27,000 traffic violations were detected during the inspection campaign. 43 people were arrested for reckless driving. 27 vehicles and 12 motorcycles were shifted to the detention garage. 54 minors were arrested for driving without a driving license. 12 expatriates were referred to the General Administration of Correctional Institutions. They will be deported if they are caught in violation of carrying passengers.
