BURGERS ARE THE MOST POPULAR AMONG FOOD DELIVERY APP USERS

Kuwait City: The restaurant and café sector in Kuwait has recently seen remarkable growth, with the sector's facilities becoming the most prominent destination for citizens and residents within the country. This has been accompanied by restaurant owners attracting all new foods and distinctive flavours from all over the world.


On the one hand, this has resulted in the emergence of unique Kuwaiti products that distinguish each restaurant. Local touches, on the other hand, have significantly increased the sector's diversity and competitiveness. 

Despite the continuous diversity in the meals of restaurants in Kuwait, burger meals continue to be at the top of the list of favorite meals among citizens and residents.

Burger meals are the most requested meal by users of delivery applications for restaurants in Kuwait, and account for approximately 40 percent of those meals.

According to information obtained from sources familiar with the sector’s business, one of the famous brands specialized in selling burgers controls more than 25 percent of the total requests of citizens and residents through various applications. 

The speed of preparation and delivery is the most important factor behind burger meals accounting for 40% of requests, as it does not take long until it is delivered to customers. Other factors include creativity, as each restaurant tries to put its own spin on the types of meat and ingredients used, including special flavours, resulting in an unprecedented diversity in the local market for the burger meal.

The remaining 60% of the volume of requests for meals made by citizens and residents via the apps vary, but are dominated by pizzas, Arab and Kuwaiti foods, sweets, and coffee.
