Kuwait City: An update on the visit of Indian Naval Ships to Kuwait has been released by the Indian Embassy in Kuwait. The update calls attention to the PR dated October 2, 2022 regarding the October 4–6 visitation of members of the Indian community to the ships INS Tir and INS Sujata and Indian Coast Guard ICGS Sarathi. This notice informs you that the embassy has updated time slots for those who have registered and received a confirmation email with all the necessary instructions due to the overwhelming demand from Indians to visit the ships.

They are asked to check their emails, arrive at the Shuwaikh Port's main gate at least 15 minutes prior to their revised time, and bring their civil identification cards and a copy of the confirmation. An indigenously constructed ship of the Offshore Patrol Vessel class is the INS Sujata. The ship can perform fl eet support operations, coastal and offshore patrolling, ocean surveillance, monitoring of sea lines of communication and offshore assets, as well as escort duties.

The Indian Navy has commissioned INS Tir, the first ship specifically designed by Mazagon Dock Limited for cadet training. She is the command ship of the Southern Naval Command's First Training Squadron. The Indian Coast Guard Ship "Sarathi" was designed and constructed locally by GSL, and it is outfitted with the most cutting-edge, modern navigation and communication machinery. Included in the features are the 30 mm CRN 91 Naval Gun, High Power External Fire Fighting System, Integrated Bridge System (IBS), Integrated Machinery Control System (IMCS), and Power Management System (PMS). One twin-engine Light Helicopter and five high-speed boats are both intended to be transported on the ship.
