Kuwait City: After reconsidering the request to refloat the tender, health sources confirmed that the Ministry of Health had received approvals from the regulatory authorities to establish, finish, and maintain the Kabd Health Center, affiliated with the Jahra Health District. They noted that it is one of the important future projects and serves large segments of the region. The sources noted that the aforementioned region is home to a sizeable population of foreign workers as well as local residents who own cabins and rest homes who visit the area on occasion, particularly during weekends and official holidays, explaining that this necessitates offering the best medical services in the health centre, whether it is to be established or is already in operation.

The sources also mentioned that the new health centre project will benefit the 20,000 expatriates who work in the 11,000 farms and surrounding areas and will deal with accidents and emergencies whenever they occur, especially during the winter and summer holidays, explaining the difficulty of transferring cases to the Farwaniya or Jahra hospitals for treatment as the time factor is crucial to save the life of any patient or injured person in the area.

As opposed to this, the sources claimed that the ministry had received approvals to extend contracts for four tenders for the preparation and delivery of meals to public hospitals and health centres, for periods of up to six months, at a cost of about nine million dinars, indicating that it includes "wages, meals, and maintenance" until new tenders are floated, stressing the keenness of the Ministry of Health to provide all services to all patients in the wards and intensive care units.
